I saw on JoeReloaded a link from HissTank about Cobra II. http://www.hisstank.com/gi-joe-news/com ... a-ii-9315/

I have mixed feelings on this I haven't kept up very well with the other two IDW titles let alone a third. But I also like the idea we will see more of Cobra.

im enjoying the new comics but am having trouble remembering each and every little thing that is happening in each title as I get them all a month apart. Think ill enjoy it better on a re-read over a day or so when I have more issues...

Origins works like Frontline was supposed to Mat it's not in a set timeline but can be set before or during the main title so can be ignored.

The main series is dull, Origins started off good and then turned a bit dull, Cobra has been the jewel in the crown of IDW's reboot. It's clever, a bit dark, inventive and a lesson on how to reboot a series (and that's coming from an anti reboot campaigner) if you haven't read it you need to catch up!!!

Trust me, this is good news!!!!

I have ongoing issues #7-10 on hold for me so I am trying to catch up but other things have taken priority recently. I wonder how long people will stick around reading Cobra now it looks like Serpentor and Crystal Ball are being reinvented.

I found out Crystal Ball is in #2 and Serpentor appears in #5.

I can get that Crystal Ball could be done in a more realistic way (as IDW seems to want to do), maybe as a sort of manipulative psychologist rather than an hypnotist, and he would still retain his essence, but Serpentor? Yeah, they could make just a sort of leader dressed as an emperor, but if he lacks the "mixed dictators genetics" angle, he's a Serpentor in name only, just a husk, similar to Overlord in the TF comic "Last Stand of the Wreckers", where they just used the name and appearance and nothing of the original background.

Going by what happened to Chuckles in series one I can see where Crystall Ball can fit in. But I am not sure about Cobra Commander and Serpentor being shown so soon after all many readers have waited since issue 1 of Origins and the main title to see Cobra Commander now we get both leaders? It could be a recipe for disaster.

Surely Serpentor wouldn't be in the same country as the Commander  Pure hatred between these 2 as they want total domination of the globe.

Don't forget UK it's a reboot so we can't say that they will be at each others throats they could be more unified.

DA I read Crystal Ball's appearance last night he answers direct to High Command and on some matters can be deemed to be High Command where the twins are concerned he is also "A Master of Psychological tactics and Inquisitor General" to quote Cobra II #2.
