It looks like the toy range Jetfire was taken from it says Macross on the packaging. That was like Robotech and Gundam Wing.

it's the Valkyrie VF1A from the Japanese manga 'Macross'. the toy was one of a number purchased from Japanese companies by Hasbro and utilised for the Transformers toyline, with the Valkyrie becoming 'Jetfire'. Due to copyright issues, Jetfire's animation model for the cartoon - and which comic art was based on - was heavily modified.

that cut and paste function works well

Sundance is is right, Macross is better known in the west as Robotech. In the storyline there was a team known as Skull Squadron too.
It's funny, someone came in the shop today to try and see if i was intersted in some Robotech action figures.

Just studied the box a bit closer, and his name is now Itchy Joe.
