who do you figure's some of the nations involved in GI Joe given Hawk says ten nations signed on in the first year and they now have 24?

i reckon

USA
UK
Australia
New Zealand
Canada
Egypt
Poland
Netherlands

are probably part of the first ten (Egypt cuz of the Pit)

i reckon Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Norway, Czech Republic and Ukraine could be in the 24.

Aussie, yes. NZ, no. Kiwi's have a habit of being anti-American. Sometimes for dumb reasons, whilst the Aussie govt are boot lickers. NZ could be in the 24 but I'd doubt in the first 10 to sign.

Germany and any other western European nation for sure. Russia? Imagine Oktober guard fighting alongside GI Joe.

given the frogs and krauts won't commit to helping NATO in Afghanistan, they may not be in.

Taiwan and China are 24 possibilities.

Spain and Portugal maybe...

now thats not very PC sundance.

i would imagine that it would be the usual suspects...

UK
USA
Canada
Australia
Russia
Germany
France
Japan
China
Italy

these nations i say would be the contenders based purely on the politics involved and the mis-trust between them, none of them would want to be left out due to the technologies and weapons advancement.
Egypt i find highly unlikely as they are not what i would consider "the right stuff" it would be a case of we are building a military base in your desert if you don't like it you will be sanctioned.

I don't think France would. They would set up another organisation, get everyone else to pay for it and have total command over everyone! Then dip out when the going got tough!

or maybe sell the weapons to the enemy, as they do like that sort of thing.

Unfortunately mistakes like that do happen but we don't do it to a fellow Nato member so that the f*cking Exocets can be used to kill our sailors! Sorry but the French really piss me off! How many British servicemen died liberating their country! Sorry going off topic.

too many in two world wars.

Russia's participation would depend on the politicians involved in Moscow. Putin, Medvedev and their chums are rather intent on reviving the glory days of the Rodina pre-Perestroika and Glasnost back when Vlad was a VDV rupert and PC meant a copper on the street. He's been responsible for posturing over the Son of Star Wars missile defence systems as well as reviving the long-range bomber fleet and running ferret missions into the North Sea, so the boys and girls in blue have to chase em off in their Tornadoes and shiny Typhoons.

If Russia gets a more Western friendly regime, I could see them involved. Under the current management, i'd see them more interested in setting up their Oktober Guard.
