My only fear is that it ignores what DDP did, That would be a tragedy and a mistake IMVHO
If it doesnt contradict what DDP did Ill definately be back to reading comics again. Im hoping it fills in the 7 year gap kind of thing and bridges the two series
If it does contradict what DDP did then ill be on the fence on whether to buy it or not.
Lets hope the RED SHADOWS come back one way or the other!

If they begin with an issue #155 1/2, I'm afraid they'll ignore all the DDP stuff. Kamakura, Barrel Roll, Blackout, Wraith and others are ondemned to oblivion!

your DDP comics aren't suddenly going to self-destruct the minute #156 hits the shelves you know. you can still read them.
it's no different to the Trek movie (puttup) your old TOS DVDs (or videos) didn't suddenly disappear on May 5.

Well, at least it's not like the DDP run is REALLY negated; it rather means there are two GI Joe timelines that begin the same but continue in different ways. In other words, DDP equals Transformers Generation 2 while IDW equals Transformers Classics. The main thing is try to keep people remembering Vaughn and co just like the Transfans still remember Jhiaxus and co.

I dont see how it cant, but if larry is involved i think he can do whatever he wants & its ok with me!
to be honest, i didnt really see ddp shadows as being anything to do with the baron etc, didnt mind the early cobra uk stories that featured shadows, that worked & stuck with the original shadows but these ones i can take it or leave it!

But even if you take any reference to the original

s out of the DDP

s, you must still remember that Vaughn worked along JOSEPH FREAKIN' HEROIC LEGEND COLTON. That gives him a lot of coolness points!
