Bon Jovi was my first rock band, my first album and my first gig, they'll always have a special place in my heart. I still rate him as one of the most passionate singers.
Meat Loaf is from my dad, he used to belt it out when I was a kid - allegedly I knew every word to Bat out of Hell by the time I was three! Another superb singer.
Hans Zimmer I only got into this year, the Pirates of the Caribbean III soundtrack is just astounding. I still have a pile of his work to plough through and the rest may well be disappointing by comparison. I am branching out into more classical stuff lately.
Tori was there when I was hurting, she's totally unique. Love her to bits...
But DT are leagues beyond the rest, I chose the other four more out of sentiment than anything. Musically I aspire to DT and my respect for them as musicians is just limitless!
I also really rate Bruce Dickinson and Geoff Tate, but they've both done a lot fo stuff I'm not so keen on.

I nearly listed Bruce Springsteen, Faith No More (im a huge mike patton fan) & Motley Crue.
Hans Zimmer is amazing, but for soundtracks I really love Ennio Morricone.
I really hate Eminem! I'm not opposed to rap, just him.
