we've been in london this weekend at a few gigs, at a loose end on saturday we went to forbidden planet as we've not been, a great shop i must admit, but whilst looking through the current gi joe range it made me realise just how much effort and commitment it takes to collect the palitoy and the hasbro ranges of the 80's. So well done all the members on the site for doing what we do!

How much GI Joe have they got left?
Is it all ROC stuff? are they selling off any of the 25th stuff cheap yet?
Its been at least a couple of months since I was last there...getting withdrawal symptoms.

Well done us
I think being collector nowadays is easy, you just have to be prepared to spend loads of money & be connected to the internet... for most of my collecting life all I had were car boot/ jumble sales, charity shops & dedication...for years dealers @ toy fairs weren't interested in any thing other than Dinky toys or old train sets.
Thankfully things have improved as I've got older, up to about 10 years ago people would laugh @ me when I said I collected action figures & old toys!

They had quite a lot of both, and at reasonable prices. I was more interested in the comic book area so much to choose from it was fantastic.

It is an interesting shop, if a little pricey. Its also one of the few in central London to stock in any real numbers of the likes of Collectibles and Comics. You do get some proper weirdos in there though.

old spice would of been a welcome smell, it was more like he had bathed in his own urine some months earlier and not bothered to wash since.

Did he have long hair and wore a long black leather trenchcoat?
