Major kudos goes to Mego!, for choosing some bizarre licenses to produce action figure line from!
In fact, I've had a pretty good week collecting wise, as I also found a G2 Hubcap as well..

Great additions to your collection Ed what is on Kang's shield I always wondered that about the Secret Wars figures?

Since Hubcap was originally a yellow Cliffjumper, G2 Hubcap looks a lot like Cliffjumper!
Nice Secret Wars Kang figure, mine is the Avengers: United They Stand one.

Don't know how well this works on a still camera...
The shields are prismatic, as you look @ different angles the pictures "move", in this case ol' Krang here warps from deep space...

I'm not sure how many you got originally, but I've got two different inserts for the shield, each has two sides (4 pictures in total) which you place into the shield, pretty niffty for a early 80's toy...

I've also got a Dr Ocktopus shield kicking around someplace, but sadly no Doc Ock figure

Um, T-Shot, at first I ignored it as a misspelling, but you still are using the name Krang on Kang; don't confuse Krang from TMNT and Kang the Conqueror.

:oops:Thanks DA you're pefectly correct
It must be a spelling mistake in my (German published) toyguide book...I'm not overly familiar with the Marvel comic book characters, & was using this book as a guide...to be honest it's not the 1st error thats been spotted in this guide book, & I really should obtain a more up to date copy any way, as this one dates back to 1997!

Part of the reason I keep this guide book, is the reason it has some obscue figure lines in it..like Space Precinct & Swat Cats.
Dispite the fact I'm now on the internet, I still like to have good old fashion books to hand..
Double Tap, I think the Hobgoblins one of the rare Europion only release figures from Secret Wars...I could be wrong on that, but I do know he's special in some way, as it's one of the higher priced Secret Wars figures in the (sometime incorrect) guide book!

A later Secret Wars II range came out with Falcon and HobGoblin to coincide with the cross-over of the same name. According to the Secret Wars tpb I have the figures and story came about because DC had done their Secret Powers or whatever it was called range and accompanying mini-series which Marvel were jealous of and didn't want to be out-done by DC.

I can remember the fuss that Marvel U.K. made to the run up of the comic...that slow unveiling of a curtain, done by the arm of Mr Fantastic, over a month or so before the release date.
But apart from reading the odd Spiderman comic as a child, I've never been thet interested in super hero type comics, films or toys.. so didn't go for the action figures @ the time, that may just change now I'm older as this guy's (Kang) has sparked a interest in this line.
