Bit of advice on non-delivery.

On 08/06/09 I ordered some stuff from a UK based company via their website. About 130 quid's worth. I checked out via paypal. I still haven't had any sign of a delivery and the company are not returning my emails. I received an order confirmation email the same day I ordered but nothing since.
I don't want to name names at this stage in case the guy just went on holiday or something but I am getting a tad concerned.

Any ideas on what my next course of action should be?

I would file a dispute via paypal asap, if you get your stuff and its all innocent you can always cancel the dispute...

If it was an e-bay transaction and they won't get in touch open a dispute if it has definitely gone passed the time they said it would take for delivery. If it's another company look at the faq section to see what their policy is on delivery and refunds.

Some bigger companies aim to deliver within 28 days, which is a bit sh*t I know.

I would file a dispute with paypal ASAP, It will take paypal a few weeks to handle youre case, so get in there quick ! and if youre stuff arrives in the meantime all you need to do is log in and cancel dispute ... no harm done.

Most companies say to allow 28 days for delivery, I'd wait for that to expire before opening a dispute.

Do you have a telephone number in any of your invoices? That may be worth a shot.

The ohter thing I can think of is to google the store by name and see what others ave to say about them.

I think a seller is duty bound to be able to respond to questions, dispute ASAP

Tell us who it is, because it's likely one of us has used them and it may help to hear what our experiences were.

I've had an update. 3 and a bit weeks later I've had a reply to my email. Apparently everything that I ordered, although it was listed as in stock on the website at the time of purchase, is out of stock. I declined the offer of an exchange as there was nothing else I wanted and asked for the sum to be credited via paypal.

How long should I give them to get this done before I send the snooty "I'm gonna do a paypal dispute" email.
They've had a day to comply so far.

Depending on when you were notified a few more days yet mate I had to wait 5 working days for my compensation from the States after being told my claim won.

if it's American, you might need to give em a week or so, cuz it's Independence weekend...
