Blood for the Baron!

IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!

Two years after the events of TF1, the Autobots - now including Arcee, Sideswipe and Skids and Mudflap - are part of a joint military force with a Anglo-American force of troops. They're out hunting Decepticons, and the film starts with them taking Demolishor and Sideways in Shanghai. Neither lasts long, with Sideswipe in particular taking down Sideways in bad ass fashion.

The movie barrels along after that, introducing Soundwave, Ravage, the Fallen, Wheelie and Jetfire. The plot revolves around The Fallen's attempt to retrieve the Matrix of Leadership in order to gain Energon by destroying the sun.

This entails a big-ass scrap in Egypt and Devastator, who's not a combiner in the old G1 sense, ripping apart one of the Pyramids.

My few gripes are: Too many of the Transformers, especially the 'cons, go without names. Wheelie, despite his prominent role, is unnamed and neither are many of the 'cons who tear up Egypt. The one is, Sideswipe and Arcee aren't given enough to do. Hated the first one for skimping on developing some of the characters? This is worse.

Overall, I'm giving it 9/10

La La La..not listening...I'm planning on seeing it tommorow afternoon, so'll read this Sunday.

I maybe going to see this myself If we don't have Salvation I am antsy about the direction of Transformers and said from the start they haven't characterised the Transformers they just seem to be robots who don't speak and smash buildings up. Also I notice Egypt is in this film and Rise of Cobra is that coincidence or a subtle tie-in?

so's Paris. i think it's a coinky-dink since the Joe movie is supposed to take place in the near-future and Transformers takes place 'today'.

Well, just got home from seeing it..now saving up for the Blu-ray release.
Also snuck in & saw about 45 min's of the new Terminator film, not impressed..so left before the end, I know it's been out a while now, but only a hand full of people were in the theatre watching it, unlike T'formers which was full mainly of little kids.one of whom ran out in tears 'cause the advert for that upcoming film "2012" scared so much!

we only had 2 film trailers: GI Joe and Half-Blood Prince

I know I went to a early afternoon showing (14:30) coz it's cheaper, but it was an odd choice of adverts considering that children are the main audience @ that time of day. Mainly ones for funny Disney type family films & then followed by 2 adverts for more "adult" film,one for the upcoming Bruce Willis flic..& 2012, both of them containing scenes that would of been upsetting for younger children.
