I just couldnt get a decent finish with any white paint I tried, esp when using darker body parts so had to find a decent already white figure to start from, was a bit concerned with this one as the mould was a bit ninja like but think it turned out ok...

no it looks good to me, have you tried Tamiya paints i used their White X-2 on my Arctic S.A.S and its an ideal match to the Ironblood figure too, i also undercoated with a thin layer of white primer.

Ive only ever seen tamiya acrylics and im not a big fan of them but I know Ross likes the enamels, not tried them... I prefer humbrol enamels, never really have any problems with them...

yeah thats what i used acrylic, the X-2 was the colour number, you should give 'em a go i also tried a humbrol white on one of my tester figures but i found they were quite thick and didn't seem to go on as smooth as the Tamiya but thats just my opinion

The Baron never looked better ! nice work.
I also have trouble getting a decent finish with white paint, especially with acrylics.
Spraying might have been an idea ? although the white parts you have used are spot on.
