JJ Abrams has reportedly been speculating that with Captain Kirk's death having not been established in his off-shoot continuity, it's quite reasonable to assume that William Shatner's Kirk would be welcome to appear in a future instalment of Star Trek...

If it's a re-boot why would they want old kirk in it that would mess up Star Trek even further? Besides Kirk still died in the old continuity films whether the new film is an alternate universe or not

finally star trek has got good again! best star trek movie since search for spock, finally a crew that seem believable, not a cold unrealistic bunch of actors who should be onstage acting out hamlet!
