Potential updated Red Laser

I saw this figure on e-bay earlier and thought it may make an ok uodated red laser or red shadow it doesn't actually seem to have a visible Cobra logo on it What does anyone think?

I just bought one of the two just now I don't agree with turning Cobra into a crimson army but this figure does look ok.
