the base is the new 25th "Hall of Heroes" Firefly, added grenades to his arms, vest from resolute duke, lower legs from hiss
driver, night vision goggles from luke skywalker figure.
just finished him, having trouble getting paint to stick to the vest, any advice?
still working on his hummer, it's all stripped down right now.
was hoping to get hold of the gun turret from a cobra adder & was gonna fit it to the roof but i dont think thats working out now so if anyone has any ideas let me know!

Great job Ross ! have you used your mobile for these pics ?
Are you looking for a missile rack or a gun turret for the Hummer ?

Looking great so far! For vest use slightly drier paint from lid and brush back and forth until it dries. Each time the gaps spread less.

webcam built into my laptop, terrible quality! as far as the hummer goes, im not sure!
if i can get hold of a cool gun turret i think i would prefer that but i cant be too fussy!

yep, this is what ive been doing & it goes on really nicely, it's when it dries that i get problems, it just scratches/peels off really easily! ive tried using a clear coat to protect it, ive got some matt spray @ the studio so will try that.
a pity, i was really happy with him & now i gotta redo him!

Hey Ross good looking custom. Would the turret from the Hyena / HISS be an option for your custom?

fraid not, im going for something with an element of realism to fit with the hummer, even if over the top!

did your hummer not come with any guns?
mine came with some sort of heavy calibre type thing that clips on.

To stop paint peeling and chips is very diffucilt over gloss paint. You can sand it so the paint can key into the surface, but with vest detail recessed bits would be harder to sand.
I think there is a type of paintstripper for plastics too, though I don't know of any one that makes it. My dad had some years ago (at least 20 years ago)

ive found a good tamiya primer, seems to cover really well!
getting really bored of 25th figs, not much potential as far as painting goes!
presently repainting a sand viper (the original one) will post pics soon!
