Hi,
I noticed this minesweeper, but with a detector I have never seen (with wire/cord). As I only recently started collecting AF, there's a lot that I haven't seen yet.
so could anyone help me, finding out if it's the correct piece or not?
thx!

Hi mate - and welcome to the gang. It's an exciting time to be around, and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun here.

That minesweeper looks very much like Tripwire's detector to me, rather than the Z Force Minesweeper - it happens quite a lot, as the Tripwire ones are far easier to come by. Good substitute until you track down a proper one though?

EDIT:- Just checked archives and here it is:

It may be another rarity in itself. The :zforce: :scout: is one the rarest figures to find, especially with accessories, but there were also a few :sas: :blades: released with the :af: :tripwire: weapons, which were recoloured. Do you happen to have the backpack?

Hi,
I have an AF minesweeper, with original detector and backpack. Only the mines are to hard to find...

Hi,

Yeah I agree that the Scout character you have does look to have Tripwire's detector - when I managed to get my hands on Scout and Doc (from Rhyl of all places!) his detector had no cable.

:stake:

No, I mean to say that you definitely have the Tripwire / Blades mine detector. I wondering if you had the green Tripwire or black Blades backpack to go with it. If you have the black one it's extremely rare.

Now I'm confused! So, let me get this straight - Tripwire (normal) had all of his accessories green. The "Blades Tripwire" all the accessories were black? Looking at the archive pic (which has my shadow all over it!) I can't tell if mine is green or black!

And, for the avoidance of doubt, Z Force minesweepers minesweeper was grey, without a wire.

don't forget the other commonly available european version of tripwire : Tiger force tripwire
which comes with a black mine detector/dark grey back pack.

(the 2001 re-release also comes with black mine detector but was not available in the UK)

Ah, good point SPEC OPS! Steve, yours is green, I now wonder if the Tiger Force Tripwire accessories match the limited carded Blades accessories.

Thanks for that Baron.

Although, you're not currently sat in my house are you? If I get home from work and there's a tin helmet on the hatstand and all my sweets have been eaten there's going to be hell to pay!
