so here's a "25th Anniversary" version of the Red Shadows' own ghoul.

hey, the skeletal remains of Montezuma from the Serpentor DVD set had to be good for something, right?

Interesting paint job! I quite like Skeletron (and have a spare one if anyone needs one & has a tradelist!).

I made the custom just because I could. Wish I knew the background on it though.

I know the Skeletron figure was a mail-away special but what's the story with the character? Was it one character or an undead army builder or what? Where did it fit into the Red Shadow army exactly?

Skeletron never appeared in the comics, and didn't have a file card. He's actually a robot, (his elbows and knees have pneumatic piston things like c3P0). I envisioned them as being very basic remote control type robots, as opposed to the more sophisticated 'death robots' that were the Mutons. I think with them being 'manufactured' they'r an army builder though, not a one off character.

Maybe they are the guts of a Muton? Like C3P0 in the Phantom Menace. Unarmoured varieties.

I remember someone was going to customise a Skeletron head inside a Muton helmet along that very theory, but apparently it was oversized!
