As many of you know, before

Action Force came along, the Battle Action Force comic was called... Battle!
According to this month's Previews catalogue, Titan Publishing are offering a softcover graphic novel entitled The Best of Battle, collecting some of Battle's most influential stories from the pre-Action Force days.
There are 288 pages featuring the brilliant work of Pat Mills, John Wagner, Joe Colquhoun, and of course the genius of 2000AD; Carlos Ezquerra.
As Previews is an American publication, it's priced in dollars; $14.95.
Just thought I'd inform my fellow comic-strip fans...

Been looking over my old BAF's in last few days (hence the "win some sheep" advert) and they are really good - event the non AF stuff. I even love seeing the old adverts for Transformers, Weetabix, etc. Very nostalgic!

Me am back! Yes, the technical problems of the last few days have been solved... or have they?
The book will include examples of
Johnny Red, Rat Pack, Charlie's War, and Major Eazy!
Enjoy!

I'd be surprised if it includes Charley and Johnny. Charley's War is being reprinted in it's entirety and rumours are that Johnny Red is to follow.

It may have the story's from the special issues which I don't think are in the reprints as it would detract from the story line.

Yeah there were a few single stories in the Annuals and Holiday specials. I'd love to get hold of the Charley's War hardbacks. That was truly an awesome strip. Johnny Red was also great stuff. I'd also have to say I enjoyed those stories more than AF, which as you guys can well imagine is saying something.

Yup, been trying NOT to read at work

I had near all the Battle mags. Had a huge selection of Commando comics too. Why did I ever think I was going to grow up?
I've got a few annuals if you need them scanned? Those and holiday specials are all I have left

Also have 82/83 Action annuals as well as various other spin off's from Fleetway. Scouts, Dr Who, Starlord, Blakes 7.... etc, etc.
Attack, Falcon Squadron... Hmmm there's a cool name for the AF Air Force. Falcon Squadron.
