Heres a few examples of the old molds vs the new molds.

The Black Major new mold on the right of the pic has better defined hands and a new head sculpt.
he is made from harder plastic and stands roughly 3mm shorter than the old version.
his skull and crossbones logo is also different.
It cant be seen in my pics but the old style figure is much shinier compared to the new one.




Chopper has a far superior paintjob and again has the same new hands and harder plastic body parts. Also his pockets and details are much better defined in the new molded version.
Also the head is better sculpted in the new version.

I think most of the force and enemy figures had a resculpt towards the end of the line.

Red shadow variant popped up on ebay if anyones looking ?

The Chopper is way better as the 2nd version. I always thought the variations were more down to paint batches, not actual mould differences having never compared them side by side like you have.

Sigh. Anyone have a spare second variant Chopper?

It would seem my Red Shad is the slant eyes variant. Have yet to check the Major.

Here's a silly question, Red Shadow was bundled with the Shadowtrak and the Escape armour, is either variant more prominent or exclusive with either vehicle?

The Shadowtrak driver Red Vulture came with black gloves instead of the basic cannon fodder shadow who had red gloves.

Just got to the bottom of the box with mine in last night - it's like the aftermath of a major battle - a Shadows mass grave. Either that or Baron got in a bad mood:-

Going back to the Chopper variants I was looking at mine last night (oo-er!) and noticed one of them has a weird back (oo-er some more):-





Looks to me almost like they put a Sparrowhawk back onto him?

Also, has anyone noticed that the Camo on Z Force troopers got very different towards the end? I know it's meant to be random, and therefore camoflaged, but some of mine are ridiculously green, with only a few dabs of black.
