Whilst browsing the Star wars archives I came across this bizzare device !
apparently it was intended to be an action figure articulator with "discreet" glove !
also included a couple of cool prototypes below.

its cool but i dont know if it would work.
the transport with luke and han would make an excellent shadow transport

If this model still exists it would be a one of a kind ! so perhaps it would be a pretty expensive custom job ?

Great find Andy. Not sure if the little puppet thing would have worked too well. Love the two prototypes. I agree with Bill the Snow Speeder recovery tank wouil make an excellent shadow APC. I really like the blockade runner, think it's really smart.

Its surprising how many unproduced star wars items there are, I picked these because they were the most desirable.
I liked the idea if the little pod that clips into the front of the falcon.
but that recovery vehicle has to be one of my favorites.
this accessory for boushh appears to have a GI Joe helmet ?

I just love seeing the unreleased sw prototypes, there is so much interesting stuff!
I am amazed that this vehicle didn't make it past the ideas stage when you look at some of the stuff that was made such as the PDT-8 which did very little.
The Recovery Vehicle idea came along too late, it was part of the post ROTJ toy range, but the line got canned. PDT-8, as part of the mini rig range, was seen as a pocket-money toy that "could have been" in the movie five years earlier.
There are so many brilliant ideas and "what if's" from the original Star Wars toy line, and also surprising how many of these have survived (I *think* the recovery vehicle has only been seen in the proposal phography though).
Dave.

That articulator is absolutely absurd - No wonder it never got off the 'drawing board'. The imagination should be the only tool needed to bring these figures 'alive'. It's the same reason I hate 'sound chips' and 'spring loaded missiles'...
The vehicles on the other hand are pure sweetness, especially the ground transport/recovery thingy. I'm not a SW figure fan, but they would have been great for arctic AF/Joes.
