Happy Xmas to All...

After today I'm running around like the proverbial blue arsed fly trying to keep all family happy with visits, looking after my Dad (who's just had a knee replacement, but got released from hospital just a few hours ago - he's a tough Northern bloke that one - he's the only bloke I know who when he cuts himself or injures himself in some way simply looks disappointedly at the wound as if his body has in some way let him down by breaking! No lie, he once badly cut his hand on his home made compressor and insisted on finishing oiling it first so "the blood didn't clog it all up as it dried" before driving himself to A&E for a lot of stitches!), and finally moving into my new house (bloody lawyers! Oh, no, sorry that can't be right - bloody mortgage advisors and builders! [there, that's better]). Difficult Xmas this year with too much going on and having to spend the main part of Xmas away from my other half and very little chance for a rest, but I guess you get Xmas's like that. Should still be good - and one of my 'presents to myself' just arrived at work this morning - a boxed Pegasus and Perseus from the Clash of the Titans range all the way from sunny Italy - I'm already trying to work out how we can get Stormy and the Muton riding that winged beast, so I suspect it'll not be long before more antics and sillyness ensues! It's almost like a My Little Pony!
Internet will be MIA for a good fortnight or so as a result of move, so only chance I've got of popping by is via Mobile phone (and the snow makes that run very slow!), So just wanted to say to everyone:
HAPPY XMAS & AN ACE NEW YEAR
Big year for me on the horizon - starting life living together with the intended Mrs D, saving and planning for a wedding, big things going on at work. All very exciting stuff. And crucially a lot of good things going on on the AF collecting front. Whilst financially I'll have to calm the collecting a lot due to the house purchase (who ever dreamed cutains would be so expensive! And loo roll holders! And mirrors!) and the wedding saving the collection will still hopefully be going from strength to strength. I will be finally getting my chance to sort through my collection built up over all these years and get to the bottom of exactly what I have and have not got in all of those boxes, I have a cool enemy customs project I'm hoping to get well in hand in early part of the year, with all of the donor/base parts already in hand, a significant AF related project the details of which will hopefully become clear by the summer (
) and finally getting myself a "geek room" to display all my toys - although it strikes me I may still need to adopt a display rotation system between my toy cars and the Action Force/Star Wars etc.
Hope everyone on here has an ace time over the Festive period. Even though I've only been a member on here since earlier in the year I've made some good friends and BFTB feels like a second (cyber) home. Thanks to everyone I've traded with over the months, (I hope you realise that you all get the blame for being bad influences!) and most importantly - thanks for all the banter and laughs.
Have an ace Xmas guys (and Gal) and look forward to more fun and hijinks in the New Year.
Steve.
