Just looking on e-bay and one sale states that UK tracking post is required for paypal purchases at a cost of £5.

Any ideas what that is?

I'd query that, Recorded Delivery costs about 70p

Well I'd query that. Looks like he's trying to cream a bit off the top. I'm always wary when people put huge disclaimers in big red letters, it's like they're expecting you to complain. But I could be wrong, drop him a PM to be sure.

it might be special delivery, that costs #5 for a letter and I think 5 quid over and above the normal cost of a parcel, its meant to get there before 9 the next morning...

Sounds like a load of of old tosh to me !!, probably trying to cover the paypal fees.

I have bought from them before !!!!!!

I paid through paypal as soon as auction ended and my money was refunded,

then I got an invoice with an extra £3 because I was using paypal.

I had to pay it cos I wanted the stuff ( which went cheap )

stuff took 10 days to arrive by normal post

so the extra payment is just a way for them to cover ebay fees and paypal fees and a little bit extra on the side !

It seems like he's just making sure if item doesn't get to you, you are not able to get money back through paypal unless you want to pay for special delivery, which is probably the only sure way to guarantee item does get to you.

fair enough, however If I had paid extra for this and it arrived via regular post I wouldn't be a happy camper.
