At work today - 7 huge parcels containing enough acrylic cases to pack in all of the regular sized MOC collection! And as a bonus no customs charges picked up on way through. Hurrah!
An evening of sorting and inserting is planned!!!!

Have fun with that, most of mine are in the Protech clam shell ones, its next years project to get the Oscars cases! Did you ever get the bigger one done for the MOC sets?
Look forward to seeing the collection in their cases.

I've not got bigger ones done yet - going to be a matter of measuring up and getting our Oscar to do the custom ones next year some time i think. Money allowing.
Bloody packing material is going eveywhere!!!!

After a late night and lots of polystyrene everywhere I have come to a conclusion - I either need more cases, or to get rid of some MOC figures! I ran out before I even finished the Action Force, leaving some of the SAS guys out in the cold! But then again, they are hard, they can deal with it. BSG figures are wider, and need different cases, and I'd missed the box with my Black Hole figures and Terrahawks figures in when I counted up! Leaving me over 30 cases short! Doh!!!!
Caught myself out as on my lists too as I only have listed that I have, say, Baron Ironblood, but that I need a "black gloves" variant. When I got the boxes down what my list doesn't mention is I have Baron Eisenblud, Baron with Han Solos blaster, and two normal Barons as I couldn't decide which one was in best condition! So once I get a black hands Baron (one day, I hope) that will be 5! But my list said 1, with 1 needed! Perhaps a flaw in my listing ways it seems. Same is true for lots of others, meaning I seriously need to consider selling a few "variants" - as I'm about 40 cases short in total - plus the BIG ones for the large carded items! Does a guy really need three MOC Shadows jsut because the card is in a different language???? (see, even beginning to question myself now!)
Perhaps we should have a pole? Do I:
(a) Stop being such an obsessive and just bloody flog some to fund a few more cases, or
(b) save my hard earned pennies until I can get some more cases, but keep the figures in the meantime?
Decisions decisions...

Bloody good point!!!! I guess, in the current financial world, these are about my most valuable asset:-
( I think I've actually got about five or six more than that picture now, as i found a stash hidden inside the Z Force troop carrier the other day!)

I'd go with d) set up a charitable trust, say you're saving the figures for the nation and apply for a lottery grant.

Maybe it is just me, but why on earth do you want to put your entire collection in acryllic cases? I would understand if it were ultra rare and/or expensive items, but pretty common Action Force?

The full version is a rather long story, but the short version is basically so that they can all go in a big bookcase in the study, and be kept relatively tidy, rather than in random boxes scattered around various cubby holes, and rarely seeing the light of day.
The exciting bit will be getting the loose items set up on display! Been waiting years to finally do that, without having to then just put them away again.
That, and I'm a very messy eater (he says dropping some jacket spud on his keyboard).
