25th Anniversary Prize Draw - Poll
Re: 25th Anniversary Prize Draw
I'll throw in another of my 2-cents here and say:
I wouldn't be opposed to having a Grand Prize Winner and then a 1rst and 2nd runner up. However I don't like the ideas of dividing up the lots by category (Customs, Comics, etc) I think everyone should get a mixed bag (that way they are exposed to other things than maybe they are used to, the stuff they like great, the stuff they don't trade.
I still like the idea of one Giant prize. It would be like getting a hold of Santa's TOY sack !

Maybe the complete Red Shadow should be the star prize with everything else as the runner up!!
Like most people I think it should be all in!

When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?
Re: 25th Anniversary Prize Draw
Well, we've had a surge in participants, so much so that I have changed my mind.
Rather than one big prize out of 30-odd hopefuls, I'm thinking a separate draw for each individual item, with every name included in every draw. So theoretically one person could still win everything, or more likely everyone will win something.
It'll make the whole thing last a lot longer, and will also be much more of a community event (and jack up the postage costs LOL).
As a result I have enabled the poll option for users to change their vote.
Voting will stay open up until 11pm tomorrow night, whereupon I will lock all the threads, abide by the members decision and do the draw itself, hopefully getting the decision and film online before midnight.

Re: 25th Anniversary Prize Draw
Why not compromise? Have a few larger lots and a few smaller lots? 1st to 6th or something like that? I never win anything (even on Ebay;-) so it doesn't bother me, Baron. Lol.
Or did I miss something?

Re: 25th Anniversary Prize Draw
Baron not that I am saying one way or the other yet that I will change my vote, but I have no option that I can figure out to change my vote in this poll. Please instruct in details for the dumb. Or if it is indeed not working (there is probably not time) to lock this thread and set up a new poll. The Baron wrote:Well, we've had a surge in participants, so much so that I have changed my mind.

Re: 25th Anniversary Prize Draw
It looks pretty certain like the 'several prizes' voters is gonna win it at this stage.... but then, I also thought TATU were a shoo-in* for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and put £200 down. Yup, they lost by 3 points to some Turkish loser. And I got burned.
Anyway, whatever the outcome is, I'm dead excited.

*another nonsensical term for The Baron to lament - although at least this one has some kind of historical significance and record.

PoetFlint, do you not have a "Submit Vote" button showing? All you have to do is vote again as before (there will be an X next to your previous choice)

That is correct, no submit vote just the mark next to my previous choice. The Baron wrote:PoetFlint, do you not have a "Submit Vote" button showing? All you have to do is vote again as before (there will be an X next to your previous choice)

My apologies. I had to root around in the bowels of the settings section. Try it now.
