Action Man fancy dress costume by Ladybird.

I'd post this under Action Man, but I'm afraid it will sit there unnoticed for a month. I just found this Action Man fancy dress costume on eBay today:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0254832055

Missed the auction though.

I'm willing to bet that it's one of those things that's not all that hard to find, but it just doesn't get listed very often. As are so many of the things I collect.

Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about it? I'd particularly like to know more about this company, Ladybird. I searched all over the place for a company web site in the hopes that I could order it directly. But no luck. Can't track this company down anywhere. I can find the Ladybird Books web site, but they don't seem to be the same company. I could be wrong though.

If anyone can find me one of these costumes, or find out more about it, it would be much appreciated. I'd love to find out if there were other Action Man costumes.

Yeah, Ladybird is Woolworths own brand clothing range for kids, not just fancy dress but all types...

Ahh, that explains why it doesn't have it's own web site. Thanks guys.

I searched through eBay UK to see what I could dig up. Turns out that there are a LOT of Action Man dress up costumes. The one above is the only one I've seen with a mask though.

It's interesting. I might be wrong, but from what I'm seeing the play pattern of dressing up has been prevalent in the UK for quite a while. But here in the US it really only started to get big about 2 years ago. Wonder why that is?
