Im a bit bummed about this to be honest

I hate it that they are dropping the continuity

Im not buying it, will be the first time in 20 some years I wont be buying a GI JOE book

IDW didnt have a choice albeit, it was a Hasbro mandate and all but I got to vote with my wallet

so until the RED SHADOWS appear in the book I WONT be supporting it

and dont count on the RED SHADOWS appearing anytime soon.

Ryall just announced yesterday that basically NOTHING is planned for them

so all the DDP stuff is probally the last of the RED SHADOW we will see for a very very long time

IDW (and Simon Furman) buggered up Transformers comics for me, and I found most of the Star Trek stuff they've been churning to be garbage.
So, while I'll give it a few issues, I'm not holding my breath for their Joe comic.

I think the new run maybe ok but there was so much left not told at the end of DDP's run we will never know about which is a shame. I am content with trying to get all 155 issues of Marvel's run and the Best of collections by our own colouring project. Also The Red Shadows are now dead and buried the new organisation maybe Cobra don't forget they are re-booting totally,the Iron Grenadiers,Dreadnoks or even Cobra-La.

Seems like, as with Transformers, IDW are churning out a load of seperate titles to rake in the cash. This approach destroyed my interest in TF as following the various (over complicated) plot threads became a chore instead of the pleasure that comic reading should be. If Joe goes that route then I've had it with them.

Totally agree with Crimson. I rather disliked the whole IDW mini-series storylines idea. I want them to be in a continous numbered issue count .
