It`s inspired from the "Operation Bloodhound" strip.
The Shadow landing party had assault rifles and had strapped that poor bugger to the cactus!
Brocoli had to do on this occasion

Just out of interest, did one of the SAS spend some time in Newport like?
Seems to have picked up the accent like butt, bottom right of the following strips

Jonesy is a scouser, that's what the accent is about, although i think they've confused word balloons on the final pic there (happened loads in Sea Fury when one of Q Force was dressed as a Shadow LOL).
