Here's a dumb question that I posted in another thread. I missed seeing that on ebay, so I can only assume that I am not using the correct key words to get these sorts of hits (even searching in Europe and worldwide. Some advice would be gratefully received.
Baron,
The red laser pistol was a prototype I think, the Swordfish box I have has Phones packing that weapon.
Cheers

Paul463,
I have EXACTLY the same problem.
I never knew about any of those auctions, they just didn't show up in my searches, and I search pretty much every day.
I do a worldwide 'action force' search.
Strange thing is, when I do a 'completed items' search for Action Force worldwide they show up.
I was pretty gutted when I did the completed search and discovered them as I would have seriously bid on them.
Its happened a few times before and bugs the hell out of me.
I'm hardly new to ebay - 1200 feedbacks, a user since 2001 and I feel I know it pretty well.
I guess it wasn't just you and me Paul, though, as this brand new in box Cosmic Cruiser would never have gone for £3.61 if it had shown to everyone.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Good eye there, Paul463! Yea, I agree, the red laser shown on the box is probably an early test shot - Or, a batch of red ones were made for the German market, and the people doing the photography for the Swordfish just happened to have one around
They both do indeed look very similar! (or maybe the one in the box art looks like it could have been painted ?)
As for how to do searches... I often seem to miss items as well - even when I think I am being extremely thourough....
I have often wanted to talk to eBay about their search engines...
Take care,
Aire

Well to quote Captain Darling from Blackadder goes Forth "Bugger!"
That's one I would have bid on!
I'm glad it's not just me being the new boy. When I search for action force in a world wide search I only seem to get one or two extra items added to the UK list. I have even tried logging on to the sites on mainland Europe, but because my French (is very poor) and my Flemish is non existant it never really works out! I do feel pretty ignorant only being able to speak English!
Cheers
