what should i do?

i won a zforce apc yesterday which i was really happy about, that was until i got the invoice.

i won it for £23 which i am fine with but the postage cost on the invoice is £15,this seems really high to me.i did infact get one about 6 months ago and the postage then was about £6.

on the listing description it only said free pickup under postage costs so i emailed seller during bidding to ask for rough quote and he said between £5 -£8.

i dont want to lose my ebay 100% rating but dont want to pay £15 for postage either.

what would you do in my position?

i was watching that myself but was put off by the fact no postage costs were listed. i am after an apc and because i dont have one would pay the costs. because you already have one i would challenge the postage costs but really you have no choice "legally binding agreement" and sh*t. if you dont want to pay offer to pay relisting costs if he'll relist it

Email him again and remind him that he did estimate between 6-8.
You could also ask him to get a quote from the post office for you before posting the A.P.C, reassure him that you are definately going to pay for it , but it is a little steep on the postage, even offer to pay another £2 for the packaging on top of the postage.
I`m always a little wary of the ones who never give prices.
Some new sellers have no clue to prices , I`ve bought from a few before and been in the same position, e.g £7 to post 4 figures, 2nd class in a basic envelope.

I emailed the seller explaining my concern at the high postage cost and he has just sent me a new invoice with a postage of £10, which ive just paid.
The reason he has given for the high cost is that he does not live close to a post office so hes having to get items despatched by dhl courier.
He has stated that if the cost turns out to be more than £10 he will send me another invoice for the outstanding balance, not sure how this stands legally, just hope its not more than that.

I guess we live and learn

I`ve used D.H.L a couple of times, you can buy their service on ebay for £7.99 , anything up to 30kg.
If this is the case then , with packaging costs, probably about right.
Mind you , beware of sellers hiking up postage costs to cover flagging sales, you can always reflect your concerns in feedback.
As regards to your 100%, no danger there as sellers can`t leave you negative anymore, buyer has power in these matters.

a seller isnt allowed to over charge vast sums of money for postage
and its not your fault they dont live near a post office
that should have been mentioned in the listing
report them to ebay/paypal if they have overcharged on postage when you recive it

If he's the seller he can't leave you negative feedback anymore, although someone has already said that!
Still, £23 seems awfully cheap for a Z-Force APC, even adding the £15 postage. Is it in good condition?

it doesnt have restraining bar and one leg on the stretcher is also broken, also no missile rack and obviously
no aerial.
bearing that in mind i think its somewhere near the going rate.

as someone else said i think not putting a postage cost may have put a number of buyers off.

about six months ago i managed to get a real bargain, when i got my first apc, which included restraining bar and intact stretcher plus 12 figures, which included 1 red shadow for £19.

i have noticed latlely though the prices have gone right up.

what i really want now is a complete hyena, but ones i have seen lately are just to expensive.

I'd love to get my first APC and a Hyena! I always seem to be away when these things end. I used my mobile one weekend to bid on stuff but got a fairly large skelp of a mobile phone bill and didn't win the items!

A few years back (around 2000) I was only collecting GI Joe so (*sob*) I traded my almost complete (minus aeriel) Z-Force APC for a Joe version from an American fan... I regretted it pretty soon after and still do. The Joe version is nice, but can't hold a candle to the Z-Force release.

Don't hate meeeeee!!!!
