Blood for the Baron!

Title Says it all, going to take us all here showing our support of the RED SHADOWS to get them into the IDW comics

Okay so Ryall was cool enough to answer several questions on the IDW boards and even Phils Board so I asked the hard question, and after a bit of pulling he answered!

LOL dam Okay ill play, in all honesty I feel bad in saying this because IDW is a good company that puts out quaility product, and I love Larry Hama on GI JOE but to be honest unless the first issue is so vauge and can SOMEHOW be placed/fit into the original continuity, or it has charactes from the Argen 7, South American Cobras characters, Action Force members or Red Shadows playing a part it in then no I wont.

the only other situation is if IDW has an in-continuity series then I would be glad to read an alternate reality type book along side an original continuity book

Then really, if that's the criteria and you know we're starting things over, how would me answering about Red Shadows change anything?

I don't know how anyone could think that picking up where WW III left off would make for a good start for us, but you have your opinion so I'll respect that.

Hes really into original looks too so we cool get back characters the likes of Baron Iron Blood Red Laser Red Vulture and more!!

Interesting. I'll give IDW a chance, as I've said I didn't bother with their Transformers, I was reluctant to restart with Dreamwave, but happy to have them back, and then they got axed mid-story so I gave up on it. Three eyars later and forum member Ratchert offered me his TPBs to read and I immediately regretted my rash decision. Yes, it was a reboot, but yes it was also Prime, Megatron, Starscream et al in my favourite medium. The stories were well written, the artwork was strong, and to be honest, although they didn't officially follow the same timeline, they didn't not not fit either, if you'll pardon my english.

I can see both sides, I'm a stubborn sod who would rather sulk than compromise, and I have a respect for history. Take Judge Dredd, he has endured for thirty years, and he has also aged thirty years along the way, I totally dig that but I've also been reading them for twenty of those years. I have the complete Spider-man collection on my hard drive but to look at it is just so daunting I don't even know where to begin.

I loved Tim burton's Batman when it came out, I loved Batman Begins even more. At least there still is a GI Joe comic on the market. I would definitely buy a Red Shadows mark1 comic, but I couldn't swear to buying another mark2, or even mark3. But yeah, very cool of Hama to interact and thanks for the plug!

I would love to see the Red Shadows but IDW is re-booting the GI Joe story so it wouldn't be the same storyline so I don't know if I want to read it. I like Hawk as a character and didn't like his being crippled but got used to it now IDW are going to use him again but he won't be the same as they will have him walking again so it won't be continuing on the Marvel/DDP story which as far as I am concerned finished sadly with issue 36.

I would much prefer to see the BAF stories in print again.

oh we have 300 members no doubt but I never said we had 300 active members!

I actually Pm every new member when they join up, I been doing this since we have about 100 members and so far I have 9 unanswered e-mails in my out box so those 200 or so members that singed up are not bots
