hey all - just saying a big HELLO!

hi - my name's stew and i'm 31 and i stumbled on this site and can't believe how great it is - memories that i thought i'd forgotten have come flooding back!

I started collecting BAF back in 1984 (my first issue was the one with the Baron's Revenge Tape and IronBlood mask) and kept going right thru to the demise of UK AF, and thru the Battle Storm Force era - finaly ending with issue 50 of AF Marvel.

I loved AF as a kid (and still do - my comics are still buried in the loft somewhere) and also loved the Battle Stories - Charlie's War was just superb - so can i just say THANK YOU for this site - it is amazing!

Welcome on board, I just want to echo the Baron's words on the Charley's War reprints, they are brilliant books as not only do you get the comic strips, you also get some background on the real history behind the storys. they only get one new book each year around Oct/Nov time, but well worth the wait, upto Volume 4 now so we should get Volume 5 later this year *fingers crossed*

hey all,

i loved charlie's war and have started collecting the reprints (got 1st 4) - however, i stupidly went thru a phase of removing the AF section from my comics when i was a kid and so lost most of the Battle bits - DOH!!! how much do i regret that now LOL.

now you can get the stories in a collected edition ( hardcover and softcover available) and in color!!!
