I won this sweet auction on ebay from a fella board member.

Loads of great ammos/det's/hooks - now as some of you whom I've traded with on the boards know, I'm very partial to ammo boxes and the like. This was an evilbay win of my dreams!

When the parcel turned up yesterday, it had clearly been opened and there was just one blue flipper/one green hat/one yellow hat in there.

Someone in royal mail had opened it up and either nicked its contents, or more probably just found some worthless bits of plastic and let it go. During its movement through the royal mail most of its contents had probably fallen out.

Excuse my french, but some total BASTARD in the Royal Mail has caused me to loose out on some little bits and pieces that I really wanted.

It makes me pretty mad, but also makes me realise how lucky I am 99% of the time with all the stuff I buy and sell on ebay!

Anyway, just wanted to rant a bit...

It is possible your seller didn't seal the envelope very well - did he reuse an old jiffy bag? I always do, but then cocoon it in parcel tape. Whenever I've had a parcel damaged in transit Royal Mail have delivered it in a plastic bag of their own.

I would photograph the bits and the bag and ask your seller to be reimbursed.

I understand your opinion there Baron, the guy I bought from is a board member, sold me the stuff for a song and seems like a decent kind of fella. For 4 quid, it's really no big deal.

The jiffy was a brand new one and stuck using just the adhesive that is on the jiffy itself. This, I guess, is why is was easily opened. If it had been 'cocooned in sellotape' like you suggested it probably would have made it through undamaged.

So, if anything, 'cocoon' your jiffys up before you send them to stop the evil judas at the post office from ripping your parcels open. I guess he'll just nick the jiffy then, though.....
