Blood for the Baron!

Hey guys,
Trying to remove the chest paint of an ironblood figure without painting but having probs.
Used nail polish remover which worked a bit but not great.
I've heard oven cleaner might work.
Any advice or tips?

Oven cleaner is usually only good for hand applied paint - stuff painted with humbrol enamel or some acrylics etc. If this is the case I usually put the figure in a zip lock baggy and use Mr Muscle spray oven cleaner in the tall aerosol. Spray a lot in the bag and seal. Its usually when it turns to liquid that its most effective so it needs to sit in the bag correctly.

For factory paint -

Nail polish remover needs acetone in it but this can cause problems with the plastic and melt it really easily so I usually avoid but its my last resort.

Other options are IPA with some cotton wool. The cotton wool is a mild abrasive and will usually be enough to get rid of the paint without marking the plastic. This is my first go to.

Brake fluid with a nice soak. (don't get this stuff on your skin). I use the wilkos brake fluid in a small white tub, other versions don't always work, depending on the dot 5 / 4 etc.

Dettol brown fluid - don't wash this off though as it turns to glue. Only rinse in more Dettol. I avoid this method 100% as it turns most stuff to gluey messes.
