There are variants without the "YPS" gun, these are harder to find but much cheaper.

Also those guns have dropped in value recently so the Battle Gear with that gun isnt as valuable as it once was.

I certainly made a killing selling the YPS guns! I had about 20 of them

I was high bidder on that one for a while but wasn't worried about being outbid as I have one coming separately, did it just end for £51? That's a low price considering but they have been dropping for a while now and are pretty common to find.

I do have variants, no pics on me sorry, will try and remember to take one tonight.

What’s a YPS gun?

There was a giveaway on a German magazine (YPS) which had a free Snowtrooper with a black SA80 which was only otherwise available in the Action Force Red Shadow Enemy Battle Gear. I think some of the YPS troopers also had regular release SW guns too.

Although the only genuine YPS Snowtroopers are the ones with the magazine SW fans want to make their own with the AF Black SA80 and a "normal" Snowtrooper (i think its the same as a regular Palitoy release Snowtrooper apart from a cape variation).

The Black SA80s or unopened Enemy Battle Gears go for a high price because of this, they used to go for a lot more (£100 or more) but prices seem to have dropped recently, depending where they are sold. Its even pushed up the price of the other SA80s from the AF line, such as the silver/ white / red versions so those ones regularly go for around £15, higher a few months ago.

Slightly off topic, but do any of you remember seeing the Battle Gear packs available at retail back in the day? I only saw them in the "YES IT'S TRUE!" Action Force/Star Wars promotional leaflet.
