Shadowtrak prototype pics
Thought I'd share some pictures of my shadowtrak prototype
I took it apart to compare against a production version
It looks like an AF5 was sprayed with a coat of white and then red paint.. Overspray is evident on some parts..
The wings are made of bright yellow plastic and sprayed an almost indentical grey colour to the final production version.. The wings also don't have the production dots as shown in the comparison pictures
The guns and aerial have been cast in white plastic and then repainted grey
The tow hook is hand made out of some type of wood, it's also a different shape to the production version
The stickers are identical to the production versions, just a little bit more high quality, you'll also notice it's missing the large logo on the side
Sadly overtime it's lost the windshield
I just assume this was a photography or toy fair sample
Hope you enjoyed!

Nice!

When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

Thanks, this was from a dealer, who happened to have the test shots and a few other things..
Re: Shadowtrak prototype pics
Comparing with this Neville Chadwick photo that appears on the box side pictures, it has an even earlier design for the black side pieces with spikey ends
Have also found a new shadowtrak tow hook variant that has and angled end and is a later version, compared with the earlier flat ended versions like these prototypes/box photos.
