ATT / SATT mock ups

So after looking at the ATT frogman I have I now realise these were actually released as SATT. With ATT being ZForce items.

I'm trying to figure out why these figures have had their weapons removed and the card re-taped up.

The frogman obviously has no weapon so not an issue. However both the SAS commando and boat patrol have weapons removed and taped up backs.

I know realistic guns couldn't be sold with toys in Germany so the removal makes sense but why tape them up again with nothing inside?

Perhaps the tape was temporary until they had decided what replacement weapons to put in?

What are people's thoughts?

I assumed the same as you about Germany not being allowed realistic weapons and no new ones being made ready to add in for the German Mockup. Especially since their final weapons are not semi realistic and semi non lethal (smoke grenade launchers and flare guns etc).

Great finds, especially since I didn't notice the SAS was also blanked out for the Commado (have't earnt my eagle eyes yet but did notice the Frogman)

:)

That's cool that they have the wrong german symbols on them as well, they must have been very early german concepts. I guess you could get in contact with Bob Brechin and ask him..

So you were lucky enough to win both carded lots? when i pointed out the SAS commando on your other thread i thought u meant ud missed the auction, not that youd won it and just hadnt realised what you had :-)

Does the SAS boat patrol have the logo on the arms?

No i didnt win the Commando. Someone else did. They supplied the photos.

The boat patrol only has the weapon missing and nothing done to the figure.

Yeah interesting these were ATT rather than SATT.
