Hey guys, been a very long time without posting, but the new SW movie sparked my interest in Action Force again...

I was wondering, we see a lot of Star Wars mail away overstock (nien numbs and emperors) but has anyone seen any of the action force range? so the commander, skeletron and grunt?

Come to think of it i never saw a baggie action force figure?

Cheers

Jonathan

Welcome back. It has been some time.

There'll be someone on here who can answer your question ... guessing :cmmdrold: variants most prolific. Then there's the mailaway Kraken to factor in or similar.

:quick:

PS. Unfortunately your old URL from a decade ago got taken over by someone else ....

Hey thanks it's good to see some of the old guard are still around!! appears lots has changed since i've been away, just been looking at some of the great stuff thats appeared over the years such as the new range of prototypes brought to light by Dave Tree, and all the lovely green tag QC samples that have surfaced... Appears to be a lot of chancers on ebay trying to charge huge amounts for common stuff..

Yeah i noticed the old actionforcetoys domain has been taken, full of repro rubbish now sadly!

Wow! Jonathan! You were responsible for a lot of my early purchases! I blame you!!!!! At least to my wife...it's easier that way!

To answer the question - I think it went the other way - under stock of commanders. Hence the "you sent for a commander, here is a Kraken" slips. Then I'm thinking overstocked krakens were whacked onto cardbacks and sold.

I'd go with Steve's view.

Skeletron is the only figure that appears to have survived still sealed in a bag with the unused decal, although the tape on the bag has dried-up.

Me too, except...
The Kraken Type 2 variant (with shorter black torso lines, and the harder plastic type) was packaged on card back. These are the 'Second Wave' versions.
The Type 1's were the mail aways.

They may also have had two corresponding versions of the net, too - see here
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14265&p=175035&hili ... et#p175035

That's not to say that overstocked Type 1 Krakens didn't make it onto cardbacks - we all know how good Palitoy QC was!

Hi Steve, glad to see your still kicking around, thats in interesting theory that Palitoy couldn't keep up with supply, do you have any pictures of the kraken leaflet?

Like Buddusky mentioned,i now remember have a baggie skeletron with the seperate sticker..

Shame no one seems to have any used mailers though

Do you mean the kraken a5 mailaway leaflet or the letter offering krakens instead of commanders? Have both if you need images.
