Remembrance - A Personal Reflection

Recently I went back to Belgium amd the Ypres area on a short break. I managed to spend a lot of time exploring the area around Zilbeke and canal area where my great uncle was killed in 1915. Very interesting stuff, and I have a load of photos I'd like to share... when I get around to it!

But in the meantime I think today is the perfect day to share this with you.
This is Spoilbank Cemetery, in which he is buried. His grave is one of those to the right in this photo. Beyond, in the far distance are the spires of Ypres, in particular the Cloth Hall.
This is what he died defending, aged just 19.
So, I'd like to remember Pvt. Thomas (Tommy) Green, Cheshire Regiment.
