Storm Force!
In my efforts to discover more about the non-Action Force parts of Battle, I discovered the existence of Storm Force, the successor to AF. I must admit that it did make for quite a... startling discovery to say the least, but at the same time one that I've found rather enjoyable in what little of it I've been able to find. I think 'colourful' would be the best way to describe it, but the truth is I actually quite enjoy it, and would like to find more.
Of course, therein lies the problem. My Googling has found very, very little on the subject beyond character names. There doesn't seem to be any great urge to preserve Storm Force and it definitely lacks the fond nostalgia of the other titles. And while I've found a couple of stray issues in a local comic store, I'm also aware that's a small portion of the overall picture.
If there's some gigantic archive of SF out there that I'm missing, or if someone can help point me in the right direction, then I'd certainly appreciate it. Suffice to say, I'm enjoying what I've found so far and would like to see more.

Re: Storm Force!
My memory of this was that it was a poor substitute for what I had become used to in the AF story lines, I was older when this came out so perhaps it didn't float my boat as much.
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Re: Storm Force!
I re-read a load of Storm Force recently and it's better than I remembered it being but still no substitute for AF. Would love to see it all re-printed though.
Re: Storm Force!
I stopped reading Battle after it reverted from BAF back to Battle so never saw Storm Force at the time. A few years ago I got some as part of my attempt to own all Battles in whatever guise (still not completed).
Thought Storm Force was ok, but just a sort of 'superhero' team rip off.
Might go through it again, second glance and all that.
I never recovered from the heartbreaking bitter betrayal of Action Force being discontinued.

I don't suppose there's any chance of Storm Force collections "accidentally" falling into a scanner

Still hunting, but I think I've completely exhausted all my local resources. British war comics of the eighties don't rate high in the local Comic Stores' priority index

Ain't that the truth. I stopped buying in '88, when I moved to Aussie. I've seen sod all since then and was dumb enough to through 6 or 7 years of Battle comics out. Don't say it...... it still hurts.Deadborder wrote:Still hunting, but I think I've completely exhausted all my local resources. Storm Force was carried on into Eagle until the magazine went out of print.

Re: Storm Force!
Has anyone ever done any customs of Storm Force?
Figure-wise, I'm sure they'd make great customs.
