OK, it can't spray diesel onto the exhausts, but just after 1:42 you'll see its moment of singularity.
It's not to be out for a couple of years or so but an asset just saw one rolling down a street in Poland

Sweet! Reminds me of the tanks in the original Tron for some reason.

Was your asset having a toke??
I was under the impression that due to new tech with helis that tanks were a thing of the past.
Love it, my Dad was a tank gunner for a few years but got a medical discharge for a blown ear drum.
Thank f*ck I'm a Stoner!

Indeed, suspicions aroused as they'd also forgotten it will soon be Armed Forces day in Poland ... hence kit on the move ... rather than mobilisation for Ukraine. In the dark the Poles have another bit of kit that already looks superficially similar in front profile due to a particular up-armouring of the turret.
Tanks will never go away, especially with kit like this and countermeasures. C. 1991 UK had all kinds of options, hypersonic hittiles ready for manufacture to take on the Hokum and Havoc helis on top of plenty of mobile Rapier units, throw in good armour and reactive armour and you have a chance against top-drawer opposition. Depends on the training and skill of the crew and the speed they move at. With good thermal sights and a decent main weapon you can eliminate targets before you're in their range too. Main problems are decent anti-tank mines, but with a bit of fiddling with the thermal sights you would be able to ID them these days too as per more recent counter-IED drone tech. On the other hand, bumble around and under-estimate the enemy and it's game over.
Tanks are like aircraft carriers, everyone says the are obsolete and not needed up until the point when they are an urgent requirement.
Unfortunately your father suffered the affliction of many tank + artillery types at the time, hope he was not too afflicted by the ailment later on.
