IDW Muton

Post by redrage »

Was in contact with Shannon Gallant who is the artist who drew our most recent incarnation of the red shadows. He sent me some of his early concept drawings for the reinvigorated muton which he is happy for me to share here.

In his own words

" As to Muton, he was just so top heavy and bland as a figure. Since he was supposed to be unstoppable, I tried to make him look like a human tank. Below are the sketches I did of him before we did the issue. I just wanted to update and elaborate what was already there, but not lose what was going on. I think some of what I looked at were old diving suits since that’s what the original helmet always reminded me of. "

Nice one!
When confronted by a difficult problem you can solve it more easily by reducing it to the question. How would the Lone Ranger handle this?

Looks like a good idea for next year's figure, Jim. ;-)
Let me tell you, Gunner La-De-Dah Graham, the British Army can fight anything! Intimate or not!

Oh.... liking that idea!!

What I'd love to have got together was a removable Red Wolf helmet for last year's Skeletron.
