SOCOM confirms TALOS ExoSkeleton
Posted: 12 Feb 2014 20:17
Yesterday Admiral McRaven confirmed in the public domain what all the RFIs and such had suggested was well underway: by 2018 SOCOM operators will have an operational Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) as an exoskeleton.
There is going to be what the Yanks call like a "Town Hall" or "Developer Fest" or something where randoms can get to create add-ons for the basic exoskeleton that is selected.

Oh well, it was all sort of public domain anyway last year.
But now it's official.
Also DoD has confirmed that platforms for cyberattack will become a SOCOM priority. Wetware as well as hardware. They are gonna develop a doctrine or something. Don't use Topiary as an XBOX network name in the meantime.
