This is excellent news! John Cooper was the Johnny Red artist when most of us started reading Battle.

Excellent stuff!
Though I am trying my hardest to buy all back issues of battle to read them in order in comic so to speak.
Not exactly cheap, but occasional bargains on the bay mean that I'm only missing a hundred or so. Can't wait to start reading them!
I'm also doing this with 2000ad - filling in the gaps!

Agreed, Meertoh. John Cooper was an excellent artist... instantly recognisable and classic Johnny Red from BAF days. May have to buy this... and everything else on my wants list.
I really need to win the lottery
I don't want a porsche.
I don't even want a bloody car.
I want a man cave full of Action Force, Star Wars, airfix soldiers, 2000ad and Battle (occasionally Victor & Warlord).
And, crucially, enough time to read them!
Is it really too much to ask?

If you need to catch up on Johnny Red in the meantime:

Somewhat alarming that the Commissar does not comment on the forthcoming edition, but there was always a little turbo lag on the site.

2000AD - bought a few of the ersatz telephone directory compilations the other year but they're not the same as the real thing (or even the Titan Book efforts of a generation ago).

Excellent news I hope they print the entirety I was gutted when they said they would only do it as downloadable content.
