AF Ranks

Post by Bigtattoo »

Did anyone else give their toys ranks when they were kids?
Or even now?
I used to have loads of guys with tiny chevrons on their arms.

Nope, because the Z Force Captain was clearly the captain, the SAS Squad Leader was clearly the leader, etc. Why would a turn a sapper into a captain?

Well, if you put chevrons onto their arms, you wouldnt be turning them into Captains, youd be demoting them to NCOs.
I used to army build before I even knew what it meant- only had 3 or 4 multiples, mainly Z Force, and to differentiate them, I used to add ranks to the extras.
Also, iirc wasnt Sapper a WO?
If so, again, he wouldnt get chevrons, but a crown on his forearm.
But at that age, I never knew that.
I did have several Tracks though, so most were coporals or sergeants.
I had a few sappers and Docs too
