Shadowtrak Mk 2 plus crew

Hi all- been a while since I last posted- but here is my latest custom vehicle the Shadowtrak Mk2.

As you can see it started life as a GI Joe Warthog- which I've always had a soft spot for- but someting about it never really worked for me so I decided to turn it into a Red Shadow vehicle. I think the shape and angles suggest a 1980's Soviet type design- something which I feel suits the Shads very well. As I was making the model I was thinking of a name for the vehicle and then I simply decided to name it the Shadowtrak Mk2!

I love the original 'Trak, but it's a little exposed for the gunner and not much of an assault vehicle and I felt that my Mk2 was a natural step in improving on the original, but keeping the name as part of it's heritage.

The Missile rack is taken from the Gi Joe Retaliation Jeep, and I like the idea of seeing the Mk2 unload it's payload on the enemy. I used Iron Man accessories to create the missile 'launch' blasts.

Since I was tarting up on the original I thought a new Red Vulture was needed- as he is the Baron's top driver I felt a suitable uniform and upgrade was needed to distinguish him from the other drivers- plus I think it makes him look like a WW2 German Panzer Commander- which I liked!

Red Vulture is made from the ROC Destro and a Kroenen (the mechanical German from the 1st Hellboy film) head sculpt. I also added a radio mic to him as well.

The 2 Shadow crew are Elite Force WW2 Germans with Shadow heads and I added the headphones and microphones from GI Joe Breaker to the helmets to create 'Tanker' helmets- again to distinguish from the regular footsloggers.

Keeping with the WW2 theme- I wanted a crew gunner so I knocked up a Marauder machine gun on a mount and added a Star Wars laser blast accessory to make it look like the gunner is laying down a barrage of lead!

The last pieces were an assault crew to disembark from the Shadowtrak Mk2 showing that it is an armoured personnel carrier- which I envisioned it to be. These are just my standard Shad recipe that I've used before and for the added 'action' I plonked on the Star Wars blasts to simulate the Shads firing.

I recently watched several episodes of 'Sons of Guns' and one episode was the inspiration for the Shadow assault machine gunner. The episode was called 'one man army'. The programme featured a chap in a load bearing backpack running about a firing range with a belt fed machine gun- and I liked this idea so the Shad gunner is the result- again the blast accessory is added to show the action

Hope you like these- comments/feedback always welcome-

cheers all

Whoa momma that's a beast (that's what she said). Love it, love the muzzle flashes, love the new Red Vulture. Now if only we could get Hasbro to release more AF stuff and have it like this!
