Blood for the Baron!

I hope there was no other topic like that before (I can't have find it in the search engine), but I wish to know what type of free figure do you have had for the 5 medals ?

In my case, in France, Miro Meccano send me in that order :
- Commander figure
- British Marine
- Desert Rat
- Black Major
- Red Laser

For us it was the Commander and later the Kraken. Series 3 was Grunt if I remember correctly

British commander, Z force commander, Skeletron and then Grunt is how they were released on the cards Kraken was not a medal mailaway but was free when you sent 3 badges from figure cards.

You could also get any random figure with sending the white name strips off for a limited time, I got loads of figures by buying battle action force and the two other comics when they were giveaways.

You mean, like Palitoy did with the SW figures in UK ? I have learn that recently by buying SW cardback with the name of the character removed ^^
I also did'nt know that you can have figures with the comics in UK.
When the GI Joe came with the AF toyline in France, I don't remember sending the "stars", and I don't remember why, though I had bought some figures (nearly ten) ... I surely had a Grunt or two, for that ... ^^

We had the BAF figure give away in NZ too, I blew all my cash on about 5 comics from memory, Tracker being my first AF figure. One of the happiest days of my childhood.

Can anyone remember which figures were categorically given away with BAF? I seem to think it wasnt all of the range??? I can definitely remember getting:
Deep Sea Diver
Z Infantry
z Captain

Anyone remember getting others??? It was a great little mareting idea really, thinking about it - give a figure or two away, increase circulation of comic, and get kids tempted to buy more from the range. Sort of like they used to with Panini stickers when they gave the book away for free, and two packs of stickers!

Oh, and to answer - we got the Kraken, and Skeli.

I question the Kraken being a mail away though - he never featured on cardbacks, just a leaflet in with some vehicles wasn't it??? I seem to remember me and my bro sent for the Commander but got sent the Kraken with a little note.

Ahhhh - looking at the archives it was the Team badges you sent for Kraken! The slippery fishy git that he is!!!!
