L to R
Capt. Ivanovich - OG Naval Commander, Russian Naval Infantry, Arctic Fleet. "a downright surly old sailor". Comic pack Rock & Roll head, comic pack Gorky body. I made him because the gray Lt. Gorky bugged me, the naval infantry wears BLACK.
Misha Zubenkov
Shrage
Bogatyr and Sasha- Spetsnaz/Dog forces, Comic pack Gorky head(painted to spetsnaz colors), zubenkov body. Order =dog. 'Bogatyr' is a mythical russian hero, sort of 'knight errant'.
Dragonsky (w/spytroops helmet)
Stormavik
Daina
Col. Brekhov
Big Bear
Gorky
Horror Show
Perun- Spetsnaz commando- Red Star body, Salvo Head, 21st Century helmet (red star to be painted on). 'Perun' is the russian god of war.
Not pictured:
Red Star
Big Bear V2 (black)
Lt Gorky Col Brekhov Volga 3-pack (I'm looking for this).
Here's my new recruits:

Capt. Ivanovich, Perun, Bogatyr(kneeling) and Sasha, and Stribog
Stribog- OG paratrooper- Fast draw head, crazylegs torso, waist, legs, Dialtone arms. Name comes from Russian god of the sky & storm
More Guardsmen coming....

I'd like to think some of the OG stayed on in Russian Federation's service, probably fighting in Chechnya and elsewhere.
Others, like Shrage-who's German, would make a natural fit for an updated AF team.
And perhaps there's others out there, like a Cuban, or a North Korean, or a Vietmanese communist soldier ready to join the Guard.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it. It just needs some red stars and some russian script/markings somewhere.
I just received the last of the Hasbro OG and my Marauder Gunrunners order (whole lotta AK's and a sniper rifle for Daina); and added another naval infantryman. Guns will soon be painted, but here's a new team photo:
the naval infantry team:
and a few shots of my ongoing collection/photo series of variations:
Red Star, Col. Brekov, Col. Brekov:
Big Bear, Big Bear, Lt Gorky, Lt Gorky:

They all look good I like your idea about Schrage unfortunately he is one of the dead members of the Guard so he wouldn't get a place in an updated AF team I didn't actually know he was german though.

Trenchcoat's from a 21stcentury toys WW2 German soldier (DAK, I think)' dyed black with RIT dye (originally brown). Same thing for making Gorky's grey arms black, gets inside the joints and won't scrape off. To keep the hands flesh colored on the naval infantryman (working on a codename), I wrapped them tightly using teflon tape (aka plumber's tape). Plastic wrap doesn't work(as demo'd by Capt. Ivanovich's 'gloves'-necessitated by dyes leaks). Dye works on a lot of softer plastics, especially arms from comic packs.
