Looking for issue #189

Post by Thundershot »

Hi all,
 :punch: Well it looks as if my local comic book shop's let me down big time on this,
& a days searching in the comic book shops of Nottingham has proved fruitless, so can anyone please recommend an online retailer who I can purchase this historic publication from?

Cheers
Tshot

Yep, first place I tried, but the guy behind the counter looked at me (down his nose a bit) & said:
:baron2: "We don't stock G.I.Joe!"

Forbidden Planet didn't have it either, their Cambridge branch didn't either when I went last month.

I can remember when Nottingham had masses of good small indie & alternative shops but they've all seemed to have closed since I last visited.

What happened to that brilliant, close to Page 45, that had 3 floors & a basement...the top floor sold all things 'video games' like cool imported consoles & retro games?

That was 15 years ago... it was Forbidden Planet!

Was the Page45 guy little and bald? He's a dick, he's like that to everyone.

This might be better; http://www.goldenorbit.co.uk/goldenorbit/Frames2.htm

Cheers Jim.
As you can probably tell I don't get to Nottingham very often, but, I didn't realise it was 15 years since I last visited.

I've never been to Nottingham!

Also,

my local comic shop seems to have turned in to an "art hause" type affair where things like GI Joe are banned! Even FP (Southampton) have very little if any stock! I remember the 80/90's Brighton with it's 4+ comic stores....
