How I got interested in Action Force action figures.

--Well, I have been Star Wars action figure collecting since I was a kid. I was 5 years old when Star Wars came out. Recently I have been collecting Star Wars 'Uzay' bootleg action figures, as well as doing a Snowtrooper focus.
--While doing my Snowtrooper focus, I came across German YPS comic #510 which had a unique gimmick toy being a Snowtrooper with an Action Force rifle. This is the only Snowtrooper known to have this Action Force rifle as a variant, which came with the comic as is. I got myself the comic, and both a loose YPS Snowtrooper, and an AFA graded YPS Snowtrooper, both with Action Force variant rifles, from the Enemy Battle Gear, not to mention a Tri/Logo YPS Snowtrooper.
--I got curious as to what Action Force was, cause of the rifle with the YPS Snowtrooper's, and behold, I found out about the figures, and the one's that I found appealing were the Red Shadows!!! I have since, in the last month started to collect and buy Red Shadow figures, and vehicles, constantly waiting for more in the mail to arrive daily. I am going to be doing a diorama of Red Shadow's and and their Red Shadows like base scene. :shadow:
---Well, this is a pic of a fraction of my Star Wars collection that got me interested in Action Force figures, and lead me to this forum:

Great story, it's amazing how one small item can sometimes unlock a door onto a whole new world of interest.
I think most of us folks here are fans & collectors of Star Wars too.
I, myself, only really began seriously collecting :AFLogo: a few years ago & stumbled across the forum in a very similar way as you yourself did.

PAulitoy used to make a good few quid buying Enemy Battle Gears MOC and then opening them ti sell the gun on Star Wars sites and using the other weapons to tool up his armies!

I just found out recently that not only did YPS comic Snowtroopers come with a Action Force battle gear rifle, but Baron Ironblood also came with a Star Wars Han Solo blaster variant. Interesting variant guns between 2 toy lines.
Just yesterday I got a Shadowtrak & Red Vulture in the mail, mint in the box, and noticed 4 languages/licenced countries on it, being a quad-logo. One is England Palitoy, Italy General Mills, Spain PBP, and France Meccano. These names, Palitoy, General Mills, PBP, and Meccano I'm very familiar with as putting out licenced Star Wars figures, and now finding out they did Action Force as well. I just found this pretty interesting.

When I get everything for the diorama, and all set up, I shall post pics.
Cheers guys. :shadow:

If you know where to look you'll see plenty of other Star Wars bits & pieces used on at least 3 other :AFLogo: vehicles too... ;)

Figure wise, for more Star Wars items, check out the German version of :major:

Cool, I was vaguely aware of the YPS Snowtrooper, I just knew it had the Action Force rifle. Didn't realise it came with a comic.

Do you have any pics of your Uzay figures? I love the Death Star Gunner card!
