I just booked my hotel for the weekend, £60 at Travelodge (£58 + £2 Paypal fee).
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/66/Southampton-hotel
Check-in 3pm on Friday the 11th October, checkout midday on Sunday the 13th.
Worth noting that a double room is the same price as a single!
Five minutes walk from Jury's Inn / RORC4.

Not a bad deal.
Just found a nice little number for half that price though further down the road.
Really nice fella called Norman and his little old dear run the place!

The showers aren't great in that place though.

you're less likely to get raped there though despite problematic showers...

I stayed at the Travelodge last year and wasn't raped very much at all.

The Travelodge was a LITTLE rapey last year, but if you give as good as you get, it all balances out. The trick is to break into the kitchen and inject all the small complementary milk pots for the tea in peoples' rooms with a little rohypnol. Not enough to knock them out, juuuuuust enough to make them compliant...
Okay, I AM joking here, just in case anyone thinks I'm the complementary milk rapist.

.. fixed that for you.
Anyway ... Geoff Woad is ready to return to society, in his general life etc. according to the News of the Grauniad:
"Game of Thrones actor has part of ear bitten off: Clive Mantle, who played Greatjon Umber in show's first series, is attacked in Newcastle Travelodge in row over noise" http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/mar/2 ... ear-bitten
Clive Mantle is almost a giant allegedly [like

, or even his nibs

kapers ]

... But, it's ok,

said it'll be alright, so what could possibly go grape soda?
Maybe it's only in the north where locals end up hanging off your nose. Or ear. Wessex is a far superior cosmopolitan cuppa.

Yep, that's why I was giving the grape soda away!
Holy crap, who bites the ear off a six and a half foot tall dude? I might try to stay at the Jurys', this year...
