Could it be someone from our little bunch who causes this?

You just know, from the high R.R.P's, that Lego aren't even attempting to sell thier Star Wars sets to children any more.

Yeah, rip into it mate. Ed, my thoughts exactly. Some of that sh*t is way to expensive to be a toy. My Millennium Falcon was originally $450au, about 300 pounds.

Get it built!
I can't see where the Sun got the £3000 price tag from though! It's not like it's sold out or anything!!! I'm waiting for the sales to hopefully blag it for less than £100, but now fear the suns sh*t journalism will have folks buying them up to try to sell for silly money like last years advent calendar did!! I hate the Sun.

They should be firebombed for inventing the phrase 'inner kidult'
Mate, if you can find a sucker willing to pay £3K for it, don't build it.

It's typical Sun made up journalism!!! Has anyone seen one sell for £3k??? If anyone wants one I can walk from my house to the Lego shop (to avoid traffic - about a mile!) and buy one off the shelf!!! £130. So if anyone believes the Sun that walk would generate me £2,870! It's bullshit! I f'in hate the Sun!!!!

There are a few for sale on eBay for 2 - 3 thousand. Will find links later. Not sold but someone is trying!

I foresee a time in the future where the world is taken over. Not by Zombies or Terminators or Aliens... but by Lego.

We've all seen it so many times with eBay. I could put my old workbooks on there for £4000 but it doesn't mean they're worth it, or that someone will actually pay that for them. We saw z good example of this when a lady I know tried to sell her Olympic torch - bidding reached £15000 because the auction was sabotaged by people who thought it was immoral to sell this item - after that, about twenty were listed from £5000 upwards but none of them sold for anywhere near that.
