This is exactly the reason I joined BftB.com....I just read over on that board above that in the reproduced AF comics of the US run, that for the US appearence of Footloose, he was renamed Long-Slide.....I did not know that.
I love stuff like that, I've maintained for a long time that US fans have been too far in the dark about UK material.

exactly! so hopefully all the stuff we have going will re-educate everyone on this stuff
With the Create a character contest to appear in the comics going on and with the classic coloring project we got going on too and soon an all-new original comic going to be done online, hopefully a new Red Shadow revolution will happend one that will bring action force along the way

I suppose its that site that drew me here- I dont know the ultimate aim of The GIJOEUK site, but it seems to be going in the same direction as here.
The only reason I can assume for that- is the Red Shadows were such strong characters that any UK/European discussion will inevitaably focus on them.
Particularly now that DD have introduced a whole new generation of fans.
I know Jamar has suggested merging the two sites, and it may be prudent to do so at some point.

.
EXACTLY they are wondeful and strong characters and they are sooooo UK / Europe. Its the MAJOR thing that the UK has added to the mythos and one they can be super proud of.

Exactly again, its what turned me on to the RED SHADOWS

This is exactly what needs to be done , together it/we could be a MAJOR thing/force in the Joe/Action Force community
Seperate we are both small sites and have no power
People will come here to learn more about the red shadows then if they saw all the post Red Shadow era stuff here ( that the other site is suppose to offer) they would learn more about that as well too and VISA a VERSA
This is what the realm did ( by the way its not my sight I just went to the site and expressed interest in doing something for the site to make it unique and actually have a place in the collecting community ) . The realm is now known as the place to talk and learn about all the little known parts of the Joe Fandon
we have GI JOE EXTREME
we have DIC years
we have Sigma Six
we have Action Man
It would be so cool to see both of these sites work together and merge.
I definately have a lot to learn about the the post Red Shadow Era and Battle Action Force comics from the UK and I think that site and us, HECK we all could, benefit greatly from this and making 1 Kick Ass UK Site that encompasses it all!

Well while this site may be great for Z, SAS, Q, SPace and Red Shadows etc we're pretty lacking in the Cobra era and beyond of Action Force, so I welcome any additional info. I regard anyone on the same path as an ally anyway, not competition.

Baron, personally I don't think Bloodforthebaron is missing any information. What makes Action Force stand out from GI Joe are the beginning years. The so called Cobra era is almost identical to GI Joe. When talking toys most information for those years can be found at other places already.

Thanks Jaye, I guess what I was referring to was the figure archive itself. Steve did a great job with the character profiles and whatnot for the first range, but the 2nd generation is largely unfinished.
